To acces the hotel by car to drop off luggage : drive to Place Gambetta Square; then locate the street Cours de l'Intedance which is at the level of the boutique Hermes and the Restaurant "Bistro Romain" . Once at the entrance to this street, there is an intercom system (as the street is now tramway and pedestrian). Press the red button and speak to local police and mention that you are guests at our hotel Best Western Grand Hotel Francais, 12 rue du Temple. They will drop down the stopper and we will be the 3rd street down on the right at the level of the "Boutique Lancel". If there is a problem, please call directly PC vidéo Police at 05.56.10.24.19 or us at 05.56.48.10.35. • Directions from the Airport in Mérignac Take the main boulevard avenue JF Kennedy and follow signs to city center to Place Gambetta square ; (see plan and directions from Place Gamebtta) • From Paris and A10 autoroute Get off A10 exit 4C. Follow directions to Bordeaux City center via Blvd Aliénor d'Aquitaine. At place Latule take right, onto rue L. Faure, take 1st right, cours de Louis Fargue and all the way straight until you arrive to place Gambetta (see plan and directions from Place Gambetta) • From Toulouse and A62 Follow directions to city center follow the river "quai Louis XVIII; Take left at traffic light "allées de Bristol" then left onto Cours de Tournon, go around the "statue" stay on left side and go up Cours George Clemenceau till you reach Place Gamebtta Square (see plan and directions from Place Gambetta) • From Lyon/Périgeux and A89 Cross over the river "La Garonne" via le Pont de Pierre then take a right and follow( the river will be on your right) till quai Louis XVIII, please read directions from Toulouse and A62 • From the Gare St Jean Take Cours de la Marne, follow directions to Place de la Victoire and then follow directions to Bordeaux city center until you arrive to place Gambetta (see plan) • From Palais des Congrès and Parc d'Exposition Please read directions from Paris and A10 • Local transportation From airport: taxi about 40 Euros or JET BUS (7 Euros) to Gambetta Square, then by foot to cours de l'Intendance from there we are 3rd street down on right Train station Gare St Jean: by tramway take ligne C to terminus Place des Quinconces, connect onto ligne B to cours de l'Intendance get off stop Gambetta(rue Vital Carles) we are one street over (towards the left) |
